Description:
PL2303HX USB To TTL Converter Cable is an economical, high-quality, and high performance, 4 pins, serial TTL to USB male converter which is based on PL2303HX USB to serial bridge controller chip. The PL-2303HX (Chip Rev D) or PL-2303HXD chip can make easy connecting an RS-232 full-duplex asynchronous serial device to any USB host port. The PL2303HX chip has a USB mass transfer mode, large data buffers, and self flows control, which can achieve higher performance (the baud rate of more than 115200) than typical UART ports. It has a very flexible baud rate from 75 bps and 12M. It has a high compatible driver, which enables it to simulate the traditional COM port and communicate perfectly with most operating systems, especially Windows XP / VISTA / 7 / 8 / 8.1, Mac, and Linux. This cable plugs directly into your USB port on your computer and by the other heads, through 4 pins can be connected to Arduino project boards and other serial compatible devices to communicate with PCs. Through the 4 separated pin plugs, this cable can easily be connected to Raspberry Pi or BeagleBone Blac and enables the debug/login console.
This cable is applicable for Terminal use; commonly used serial debugging/programming tool for Arduino and compatibles. But not for Arduino re-programming such as a Boarduino, MENTA, Monochron, etc., because of lacking the DTR/RTS wire which is necessary to initiate the bootloader reboot sequence.

Application:
Terminal use; commonly used serial debugging/programming tool for Arduino and compatibles

Features:
Chip: PL2303HX
Cable length: 100cm
Color: Black
Assignment of the PIN plugs:
red = Power + 5V
black = Ground
white = RX
green = TX

How to use the module:
1. Install the driver
2. Restart the computer,
3. Plug the module into the USB port of the computer, the system will automatically install the driver
4. Connect TXD and RXD (that is, use a Dupont cable to plug into TXD and RXD), so that the module can self-receive,
5. Open [Serial Debugger]
The installation process in XP system:
1. After downloading the driver, click this icon to start the installation and click Next until it is complete.
After the installation is correct; you can see the USB-To-Serial Comm Port in the Device Manager-Port-(COM3/ will display different COM ports according to the USB interface you connect)
Second, insert the upgrade board, the system will automatically load drivers for it.
