A brushless DC electric motor is synchronous motors powered by direct current (DC) electricity via an inverter or switching power supply which produces electricity in the form of alternating current (AC) to drive each phase of the motor via a closed-loop controller. brushless motors can be more powerful overall. Because the copper windings are on the outside of the motor configuration, there is room to make them larger. Brushless motors also don't have the friction and voltage drop that brushes create by dragging against the spinning commutator. This physical contact results in a continuous energy loss during the operating process.
The advantages of a brushless motor over brushed motors are high power-to-weight ratio, high speed, electronic control, and low maintenance. Brushless motors find applications in such places as computer peripherals (disk drives, printers), hand-held power tools, and vehicles ranging from model aircraft to automobiles. Modern washing machines use brushless DC motors which have replaced rubber belts and gearboxes with a much simpler and more reliable direct-drive design.
The EMAX MT2204 brushless motor for Quadcopters and Multicopters (CW) is specially made for Mini 250 size Drones for aggressive and speed flying. Emax has two different MT2204 motors, one is CW spinning (Clockwise) and the one is CCW spinning (Counter-Clockwise), which means you need two CW and two CCW motors for a drone.
