آی سی رابط USB به سریال مدل PL2303HXD یک محصول مناسب برای برقراری ارتباط بین دستگاه‌هایی با ارتباط RS232 و ارتباط USB است. در واقع این تراشه پلی است که سیگنال‌های سریال و USB را به یکدیگر ترجمه می‌کند. نرخ سرعت در ارتباط RS232 تا 115200bps بوده که اگر از شکل سیگنال RS232 چشم پوشی شود، می‌توان به باد ریت (Baud rate) بیشتر از 115200bps دست یافت. این تراشه قادر است بادریتی بین 75bps تا 12Mbps را تولید کند. هم‌چنین می‌توان آی سی PL-2303HXD را مستقیما به هر قطعه 1.8 تا 3.3 ولتی متصل کرد.
